Literature Text

I am a tree
Planted in the ground
With strong roots
Growing deep into the soil

I am a tree
My blowers blooming
Brightening my surroundings
Growing outward

I am a tree
Tall and straight
Just like the others
Growing in a row

I am a tree
Twisted and bent
Rotting and hallow
Growing toward the ground

I am a tree
Looming over the others
Soaking up the sun
Growing because I can

I am a tree
Feeble and weak
Bending in the wind
Growing here and there

I am a tree
With spider web roots
Looking so promising
Growing quickly

I am a tree
Leafless and bare
Waiting for the spring
Growing in pain

I am a tree
Trying to come to life
Pushing through the thorns
Growing with hope

I am a tree
With branches reaching out
Green leaves bright and bold
Growing towards the sky
It's weird that I wrote a poem about trees in the dining hall at school. I guess the poem is kind of about people too.
